Hi Leighton,
I am quite impressed with your photography!
Your shots are magnificent! You should be proud of your accomplishments, at such a young age. Keep up the great work and congratulations!
Nice job putting together your website, as well. Very clean and simple. Always the best way to go for presenting artwork or photography.
If I may offer any constructive advise, try to take shots that are more spontaneous.
Many of the shots look as though you saw a technique or composition and tried to emulate it. This is an excellent learning technique that you should continue with, but I encourage you to be more experimental!
Try some extreme angles, and points of view. Look to shoot for color, texture and contrast. Loosen-up and be creative!!
I live near New York city and appreciate the shots you took here too. Hope you enjoyed the visit here.

Quite a few views and no comments? - except for puggle :)
Well Leighton, i think it works really well. Neutral backgrounds, simple and effective navigation. I'd be very happy with that. You have some great photos there too, well done.
Your restoration page is a pretty good effort, but I would keep the original color tone in your restored image. Too much contrast and slight lack of detail in the edit, imo, sepia works better.
Might just be the resolution my monitor is set at, but the online shop page seems to have a lot of wasted space (could be just the auto stretching thing happening there).
It's a good site that works, nice one.

Great photos man, and I love the layout of your site. Easy to navigate through pictures. The only thing is I almost didn't see your last name on the home page, cause the opacity seemed a bit low.

aww thanks you guys! I appreciate all your input and its quite exciting to get feedback from Ny, florida and our very own london!
I'll take a look at the online shop and the photo restoration page, as for the logo i'll see what i can do to make it more noticable!
Cheers

I am impressed by your images. You might consider adding a watermark to your pictures that you post online. You may have them set at a low resolution to prevent theft, but I still would hate for someone to steal one of those great shots. Keep up the good work.

I agree. I know many people don't like watermarks, but I would have them on my shots.

Thanks for the suggestion! I did consider it but i felt it was just too much fuss (theres quite a lot of pictures on their) and also if they did steal it, they couldn't use it for much at all ( i think/hope anyway! )

Hello Leighton,
I agree with the above, very well done. Just the most minor correction from the main page - "Photos cannot be copied or reproduced without my ss written permission."
Is the "ss" a typo or does it stand for something?

Hi Leighton, going back to watermarks. I know that I could enlarge an 800x600 image in photoshop (Bicubic smoother) to print very nicely at A4 size.
'tis the only reason I would use watermarks. Hey ho, something to think about. Laters.

Good simple site. Just the way I like it. My critiques:
- The links bar on the left is a little odd. We have a bunch of galleries...and then the online shop...another gallery (Floral)...a service, guestbook, contact page...another pseudo-gallery (contests)...and one more actual gallery (Commissions). It isn't in alphabetical order either so I am not sure why it was designed that way.
- When the pictures are enlarged and assimilate/black-out my entire screen (a personal pet peeve) I wish there was an easier way to navigate skip forward/back than those teensy icons at the top. I wanted to click the picture or just next to the picture but nothing happened. :(
- Might as well have the logo-header image hyperlink back to the home page. Should take all of 30sec to code that up.
As a natural born nit-picker...this is all I could really come up with. I love the colors, layout, font, and the images are top notch and plentiful...but not too plentiful. Excellent job!

I designed the website using photoshop cs3. things like the background and logo etc. I then used MrSite.co.uk to host the website.
Hope that helps :)

Thank you very much. I really appreciate you pointing those things out :) I have rearranged my pages so they make slight more sense? I hope anyway.
The gallery style isn't my choice, thats what is decided for me :) I don't mind it though.
