I went for a walk today and found this place ten minutes from home, I was quite surprised. All are infrared with different treatments in PS.

That place really looks like fun...and you got some great shots...
Do you know what the place is/was? I can't for the life of me figure it out...thought maybe it was a cemetery at first, but further into the photos, the less it looked that way.

thanks a lot, it is a great place and vast but I only spent about 30 min there as I was a bit leary of exploring too much on my own. It seems to have been a factory of some kind, the rear room in shot #4 has an overhead crane and the front facade suggests a series of shoprooms.

thanks very much.

thanks...as I said above, a factory of some kind....I will be asking a local friend about it and I do intend to return for more exploring.

Wonderful images! I've been trying to figure out how you might put color back into the image after shooting in IR. Im guessing its not a quick process?
Your shots are really getting me thinking about going the way of IR....

I love the stark, raw nature of the photos. I might have to try the technique myself.

thanks for the comments....there are several types of IR conversions for digital cameras that give you the ability for straight b&w or a variety of sensitivities for colour. I had mine done by Lifelpixel but there are others such as MaxMax and a guy in Indonesia that does a stronger cross between IR and normal colour. My conversion produces images with an all over red caste that are channel swapped in Photoshop, the colour temp and tint can also be manipulated of course. There are many sources of information on this subject, try this one: http://irbuzz.blogspot.com/2007/02/links-related-to-ir-photography-visit.html

Looking through your pictures. I had to stop at number 5, that's one doorway I would not be too happy walking through.
Great shot.

Fantastic shots. the infrared really adds impact to the images. however i think the location was very strong too.
