Took these with my 70-200 f4 + 1.4tc + 20mm ext tube. Gives me a bit more working distance than my 100 macro.

Hi Roy
Both of these shots are fabulous. Of course the Broad Bodied Chaser is my fav out of the two lol, and what a superb shot you have got of it with that lense (plus TC and ET) - a very fine job! I would say thats probably as good as if you were close enough with say the 100m macro.
I use my 70-200 a lot for DF shots, but havent got the TC yet (hmm, that could well be my next purchase I reckon lol).

lovely, only seen the caterpillars so far. Must try my 70-200 as I find the 400 too heavy for a decent keeper rate.

Great captures, hav'ta look into a TC myself!
Any knowledge / advise on using a TC with a Tamron 90 Macro?

No knowledge of the Tamron 90 but I use a 1.4tc with my Canon 100 macro and it works very well so can not see why it would not be effective with the Tammy.

Nice shots Roy - I haven't seen any burnets this year yet - and only a fraction of the caterpillars that I would expect to find - nice DF too!
