Nah, I dont think so ;)

Sun was behind clouds so the light was very soft, which is nice to avoid sharp reflections from their eyes. First one is original, uncropped, and the pic below is a 100% crop just to show eye-detail.

Obviously you can- lovely shots.
Must say I just find focusing in macro mode with my compact quite hard but haven't had much practice with it.

Great detail - really shows what compacts can do! :)

I am curious about your remark about having two Raynox closeup lens. Could you tell what you have and what you like about each?

I have the S5, after having gone through the S2 and S3. I sure hope that if they come out with another S that it has f 11.

Thanks you guys :)

@ Keith Newton: I have a Raynox DCR-250 and a DCR-150.
The 250 is strength +8 and the 150 strenght +4.
Since I got the 150 I almost only use that since you get longer working distance and you can fit larger stuff like butterflies or somewhat larger flowers.

F11 would be nice, but at F8 you get heavy diffraction on the small 1/2.5" sensor so dont know if I would ever want to use it.

Yeah I admit it, I have a D300 or some other extremely expensive camera ;)
No seriously, I only have my old cheap S3 and cant afford a DSLR so this is what I have to work with.

Thanks for the comments :)
