They've been having their problems as of late. Really quite intermittent though. I had a similar problem and I just deleted the images and reloaded them.

I also created a new gallery with 6 images, it would only put 2 on the first page and the balance on the second page. For some reason when I added another image to the gallery it straightened itself out.

You might want to try the forum on pbase. They seem to be able to give answers pretty quick.

Earlier today I was trying to do a search and was getting no thumbnails at all, so they have definitely been having problems.

At least you've got thumbnails - one of my galleries was just displaying and angry X for all of my images last week. If I wasn't already with pbase I'd scoot somewhere else.

I've been following the PBase forums for about a month with people complaining about the problems - rightly so. It's gotten hot and heavy - like a daily soap opera.

I re-loaded one of my galleries that was affected and things now seem Ok. Clearly there is a major problem with their servers. An even bigger problem is the lack of response to ongoing issues from the site owners and administrators - Slug and Emily.

PBase is HUGE - perhaps because its so cheap and versatile. It doesn't guarantee up-time. Its images are linked all over the internet. Not surprising to me that they're having server load problems. I expect that things will improve very slowly. Most of the PBase members are pretty faithful (like me) and possibly willing to accept these hopefully temporary growing pains. The alternative is higher fees scaled to bandwith use to support the hardware and site administration costs - something that heavy PBase users probably don't want to contemplate.

The complaints are relatively small in number when you consider the size of PBase. On a typical day, not many people are logged onto the PBase forum - the more or less official location to gripe and moan.

Stay tuned ... Sometimes, success at the scale of PBase breeds failure as the system collapses under its own weight.
