I thought I had posted this before but must have forgot to submit. Anyway, when looking at the wedding shots here, it seems a lot are taken away from the wedding site. Are these done at a diff.time? How do you get these shots in between the wedding (the first time the groom sees the dress) and the reception, etc. Hope this is clear. I can only assume that "Trash the Dress" shots are taken at a later time......:)

I think the superstition of the groom only seeing the dress for the first time at the aisle is a bit outdated. I saw my bride before the ceremony so we could do the photos; no big deal. And many photos are taken between the ceremony and the reception... the guests mill around for a few hours and the photographer and couple drive to a pre-planned location.

OK-thanks for the reply! I thought there wasn't any other way but wanted some other opinions.

In many instances the wedding is earlier in the day, say noon, and the reception is the evening, giving you many hours to take pictures in between at a predetermined location.

Photos away from the venue are usually taken between the ceremony and the reception. First time the groom sees the dress is on his bride as she's walking down the aisle. Trash the dress shots are done after the wedding day.
