Tee, I think your pictures are good and sharp on the cats, with good bokah and fokah, and very nice compositions.
I also think your cats are pretty kitties.

awwwwww what a cutie patutie!!!!! Boo looks wayyyyy to comfy. I would be tempted to scare the cwap outta her just to see hanging from the ceiling!!! I know I'm evil :o
That cat is on the verge of evil things... little wild thing attacked my ankles this evening! I had a slight chill because of all the rain (it's been forever!) and was wearing my flannel pj bottoms..... the flapping of them made Boo attack my ankles.... and feet..... GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! I could barely walk through the den....

Has she been spayed yet? They have a tendency to call a lot more when "in season."
Oh, yeah... A couple months ago, right after she had that litter of stillborn kittens. I wasn't going through that again.

Thanks Becky - I was thinking that the sharpening on Koda was a little much, but he's such a photographic cat that his fur's details just pop out without sharpening... hehehhe
I swear Koda likes to be photographed, although Pega likes to make things "challenging" for me - as if his all-white fur wasn't already a challenge.... lol

Here are photos of my 2 boys... the white one is Pegasus (named after the white winged-horse because he gallops when he runs)... The black/brown tabby is Koda (named after the Brother Bear movie as he is short and stocky like a bear)...
Koda is the mischievious, mouthy cat that has LOTS to say and craves attention all the time - I don't think I've experienced a moment when he's not purring... He frequently hides and pounces on Pegasus at any opportunity...
Pega is the independent, but loyal snuggle bud - is that possible? He tends to stray further away from the house, exploring the neighborhood. But he never forgets where he sleeps (on my bed, snuggled up to my belly) or where he gets fed. I could be outside at night calling for him and he'll quitely walk up behind me and scare the crap out of me when he lovingly rubs against my legs... I wonder why can't he meow to say "here I am" instead??? LOL
beautiful shots...of gorgeous cats!

The Ozelles have been having issues with their reprise dances. I just spent the evening typing out the lyrics and moves to each reprise. I hope I remembered correctly. I printed out a copy for each one, guess if I have something wrong we can correct it and I can edit the master file.
Anyway, past my bedtime, so I'll wish you all a G'Nite.

Hehehhee... I had a grey kitten 15 years or so ago (she's now since passed on) but we used to play hide 'n seek - and when she'd find me, she's jump out of her fur... hehehhehee... It is pretty funny to see them do that... especially when two of them are playing together and one startles the other!!!!

Evening folks. Popping in with some free time for a bit.
funnily enough we bought a costco knock-off of the tempurpedic for our guestroom...at 1/5 the price, you can't tell it's not tempurpedic. However it doesn't have a 20 year guarantee. But it's very comfy. Literally came in a box...like a kitchen stove box...and it was vacuum sealed so when we opened the first layer we weren't prepared for an explosion...and the mattress literally burst through it's second wrappings and expanded to a queen size 12in mattress RIGHT ON TOP OF ME!
I don't know how I missed this before, but when Jen quoted it and I read it....I also burst out laughing loudly! That would have been a sight to see.
Oh, yeah. Now I'm using Firefox 3. Killed a couple of my add-ins.. :( But, other than that, it seems OK.
Me too, got the upgrade box today. The theme I was using is not supported anymore either and there are none that look similar that work with FF3 :|.
I don't care for Firefox 3. The right-click menus look and act too much like IE's... For now I'm sticking with 2.0.0.16...Change the theme to something else that will change the look of the menus.
What is the checker board to the west, a turf farm?I was gonna ask that same thing about Jim's coordinates....I figured it was some sort of life sized chess board or something....like in Harry Potter.
WTH, Bobert? I had that covered with a carefully placed throw. :-|
Oh sorry, was I not supposed to say that out loud?
LOTRR: Can't We Talk About This Somewhere Public?:lol:
Thanks for the offer, John. But I gave it up and the Cds are already burned, proof sheets printed, and images uploaded. I'm too lazy to redo any of it.
That's too bad cause I actually have a picture of a moon on blue sky fer ya. Here is a smallish one and I have one closer too.

Change the theme to something else that will change the look of the menus.
I've tried that. The first thing I always do is change the theme. It didn't help in this case, though. One thing that's always bugged me about IE is the way the "Back" option is missing from the right-click menu if your cursor just happens to be hovering over an image at the time. Firefox was never like that. "Back" was always available on that menu. Until v3, that is. Now it works exactly the same as IE and that bugs me too much to use it.

I am, too. My dad's side of the family is pretty much all Belgian and not much else. I get the Cherokee on my mother's side of the family (my mom's dad's dad), along with a bunch of other nationalities.
My dad's side hasn't even been in the U.S. for 100 years yet, but I've traced my mom's side in the U.S. to the mid 1600's so far.

I think it's fascinating to hear other people's heritages.
My Great Grandmother on my mom's side was a Dickens. A direct descendant of Charles Dickens. A very English family. Married into a very French family. My mom is almost completely half and half English/French.
My dad is German. Almost completely.
Wade's dad is Portuguese. His mom is Norwegian. She has traced her genealogy back to Eric the Red (so she says). Very interesting.

G'night Bobby.
My uncle is the family genealogist and has done all the research. I've never seen the actual research, but based on what I've been told we are 100% European. My father's family is Scotch-English and my mother's family was German...

Graphics is really the strong point of Photoshop. Of all the stuff in there, the photography related tools are just a small part. Combine that with Adobe Illustrator and you've got a very powerful graphics suite.

Cute couple, hope Lonnie gets to meet them someday...hope I get to meet them some day.:D
Here is a quick preview of my Canada trip:
Anyone know of a place online or should I go locally?
Nice shot, just enough water blur without over doing. We like MPix and have had several photos printed on the large size with good results. I would recommend you have them mount it to avoid the picture from wrinking in the frame.
This better?
Yes, tells more of the story. Tee, I had to gulp when you mentioned journaling...I'm very bad at journaling. Often leave pockets or flaps, but never get back to actually writing anything.
While at the recent Pow Wow, TD really got into the spirit of the thing:
Dan, these are really good. I enjoy you special additions.
I think it's fascinating to hear other people's heritages.
My mother has done a lot of research on her side of the family. Some were rather surprising and could explain a lot about us, something about cousins marrying cousins.:rolleyes: Her mother's side is Scottish, her dad's side has a lot of German. On my dad's side there is a lot of Swedish. As far as any famous lines, my grandmother is a direct descendent of Queen Mary of Scots and her uncle's wife married a Boone, as in Daniel Boone family line. We've been told that Daniel Boone was not like Fess Parker's character. He apparently liked alcohol, a lot, and wasn't all that faithful on his many long journey's away from the homestead while out exploring.
I think I went a little crazy in photoshop....
Playing like that can often spark the creative fire again. Hope it worked for you.

I think most of use are, to one degree or another. Some claim to be just what they want to be thought as. My background is not too exotic at all.
I wonder why can't he meow to say "here I am" instead LOLHi Tee nice kitty pics :) sounds like you have some spoiled babies like me :)um ...like the room .

Ahhh cool, thanks, I'll deffo look at that.
Any of Bryan Peterson's books, I liked. Especially Understanding Exposure.
Cool I did get that one...there were a few others there, but I'll start on this and work my way through the others.
We will be there Friday evening, come on out.
Um, yeah....That is the whole idea.
We can do what we want, as loudly as we want, and there is nobody to complain (especially when we get a couple guitars going around the campfire ). Most of the treed land around us is Crown Land (owned by Canada) and is at our disposal for hiking, skiing, biking, etc.
That would be nice...open space, nobody bothered about how loud you are etc.
OMG That is TOO funny!!!! I laughed myself silly when I read this... Sorry Lisa!
Who didn't laugh?? Not in a cruel way though...
She's got such a nice smile!!!!!
Wow! She does not look pissed at all!!!
She is always in her element in the outdoors, but she was livid that whole day.
I want one too!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me three!!!
Yep, all this in a multi-million dollar home with all the amenities of NOT camping my kinda vacation!
Ooooooh...yeah I am not too keen on the camping thing myself...
I wanted to go up for their big celebration air show because they we featuring the top military demonstration teams from the US (Thuderbirds & Blues), Canada (Snowbirds), and Great Britain (Red Arrows). I can just imagine how the Americans must have been treated...
Montreal is only 1 hr from my brother-in-law's house by the US/Canadian border...so going up there was no issues...Still I'd like to see more of the place. Last time I was there was last year for the Canadian GP. But I do hear a lot of good things about Quebec City.
I tried Firefox once, but find the IE works just fine for me so no need to have another application on my computer. Gives more room for photography related applications.
I much prefer FF over IE, anyday.
Red Rose Tea Party.
Actually, Red-Ringed Tupperware Party
Ahhhh, that is what it stands for...
Thanks Jim... I wondered if I was missing a party - turns out it was the tupperware party... hehhee
Clearly I haven't woken up, since I am on the RRTP thread too...silly me
Also, Tee, there is a game in the competitions area called "The Photo Below Me" that we all play pretty regularly. You'll find a lot of talk going on in here that references photos posted there. Be sure to drop in and play sometime.
I haven't played in that for a while, probably because I don't have THAT many shots of late to contribute.
and don't worry about your 40D. It's going to take good photos for a long time to come
Yeah, it should, just cause the 50D is out, doesn't mean that there will be THAT much of a difference in photo quality. The camera is only as good as the user...
I know the camera will take good photos. Tis me I hope that will get better....But, I've only been at it a couple months now, so I can only get better with practice right? However, sometimes I think my learner is broke.... I just don't retain info as good as I use to.
Yeah, I am trying to learn as fast as possible too!
Me too, got the upgrade box today. The theme I was using is not supported anymore either and there are none that look similar that work with FF3.
Change the theme to something else that will change the look of the menus.
I've found plenty of themes and little addons that are good for me, without clogging the screen up at all.

I use FF3 and back is always the top right click menu item.

Are you using a theme? Maybe it is theme dependent. The two or three that I tried still were missing that menu item if I right clicked with the cursor on an image.
Good Morning all!!! I got this pic in an email this morning and immediately thought of all you folks that are blaming your cats for shredded tp/papertowels.... They are innocent!!!!
Yeah... Sure they are!

I use Aquatint Black Gloss theme.
I'll have to try that and see if it is a theme thing, then. I haven't used that one before.
This is what I'm seeing with the default theme... First, right click with the cursor not on an image:

Whoosh by morning catch up and post....back in the office again today.
Even though I didn't quote 'em, I enjoyed reading everyones post of their heritage. Sadly though, I don't have any notable figures in my history like many of you all.
Well, back to earning my dollar.
I have no notables, either, Bobert. I have no pedigree at all! Pure mutt :)

Ohhh someone else who's into scrapbooking... COOL!!!
I agree, the page looks nice over all - colour, layout, subject... but it does need something in the lower left corner - maybe some journalling as to why you took that picture or why its special to you???
Hey Tee Do you do digital scrapbooking or paper scrapbooking?? I do paper scrapbooking!
Yes, tells more of the story. Tee, I had to gulp when you mentioned journaling...I'm very bad at journaling. Often leave pockets or flaps, but never get back to actually writing anything.
I don't do journaling well either Becky!!!! I've got a couple layouts with blank space for me to journal.... and these pages are a few years old
My family has a lot of research.... and we are direct descendants of Queen Mary of Scots as well!!!!! We have several royal connections on my mom's side of the family. My dad has done a ton of research as well on his side of the family, I feel very lucky to have that information.... at least my kids will have that information... unlike my ex-husbands side of the family... they know next to NOTHING about their family geneology...

Speaking of genealogy.... I have a family member who was the first American ever to appear on a foreign postage stamp! He was featured on a stamp in Australia in the early 1900's
