Maureen McCormick was in Skatetown USA with Scott Baio.
Scott Baio was in Happy Days with Ron Howard.
Ron Howard directed Kevin Bacon in Apollo 13.
Is that close enough?
I might be able to get there in fewer steps. Hal (Anson's dad) was a writer for TV and movies (and a novel or two).

a ceramic John Deere cookie jar, which we all wholeheartedly agreed was an appropriate vessel for the ashes. By the way, he was also a big fan of cookies. :D

Hi Jim *hugs* Thank you for sharing those memories with us! Your dad sounds like he was a life-loving person.
He left a wonderful legacy in you and your family :D
Very appropriate.
Is Caitlin home? Or on the way?
Thanks guys. Caitlin gets home next weekend. I guess I will be having at least one more emotional day. She was the first grandchild he knew, so was kinda high on the favourites scale.

Good Evening Everyone :D
Please forgive me, as I don't think I will ever be able to catch up, though like a little kid, I did look at all the pictures. :D
Dad's funeral was today, hopefully the last big day of an emotional ride. Giving Dad's eulogy was the first time in my life I spoke to 300+ people. I should have never started out mentioning how sorely Catlin was missed by me, and the rest of the family. I was weak, and it was tough getting back on track. It was also very moving and heartwarming to see so many people come out to pay tribute to Dad. Not sure if I mentioned it, but he retired at 55, 23 years ago and since then has put in at least 30 hrs a week doing various volunteer work. On a warmer note regarding Dad, he owned a John Deere dealership he built into a huge success, which led my brother Mark to bringing home an urn he found at a local automotive store. It was a ceramic John Deere cookie jar, which we all wholeheartedly agreed was an appropriate vessel for the ashes. By the way, he was also a big fan of cookies. :D
Hi Jim. Great story about your Dad. Thanks for sharing.
If I can get my feet unstuck from the this sticky floor, I have to head out, long day tomorrow.

Good, I've heard horror stories how some in the business are the pushiest sales folks you'd ever care to meet. Glad to hear of the good ones, which most probably are, truth be told.
They were quite good, and not pushy at all, making sure we got what we wanted, and for the great service they provide, being willing to take care of any detail we wanted, often without additional cost, it was worth the cost.
So glad to see you Jim! Sounds like even though it was a sad day that it was laced with humor and love. Humor is what got my family through losing my grandmother last year! You guys are still in my thoughts!!!
Hi Jen, thanks. We were able to interject lots of humour into the last while. Music too was a great help, we played and sang lots of songs. :D

WaWa iced tea is so tasty!!!Where (answered)
Are you in MD? The last time I saw a WaWa was in Columbia. That's pretty much as far South as they've reached yet.
Nope I get it when I go down to my beach house in Toms River, NJ.
WaWa iced tea is pretty much sweet tea, but from WaWa (a chain gas/food place) found in South Jersey and lower, down towards MD.

I am pretty much a nerd.Wawa is a village outside Philadelphia and about 3 mi. from where I grew up. That's where the original dairy was located.
Yes she is Lisa. How did you know her name?
which, btw, make very pretty vomit in the snow....TMI!!!

Morning folks. Busy day planned. Going to see Clone Wars at the movies, a birthday party, maybe some yard work if it don't rain and then perhaps when its all said and done, play some poker tonight with some coworkers.
Cool, so then you get the boy magnet for a while, eh? It may for for Cat better to be a boy magnet than put on some cologne again and try to get some beautiful girls.

(((Jim))) glad most of it is over, Caitlin will understand despite the emotions of it all. I liked your urn choice, read the post to Billy and we had a nice giggle.
I like those 6 degrees things too. I went to HS with Kyra Sedgewick, she's married to KB! I also met him in central park before they got together, he was walking two beautiful golden retrievers that I wanted to pet, had no idea who he was. He was on some soap opera at the time.

Have you got your camera back yet?Nope. The tracking at Canon says it's done but not shipped. I'm guessing Thursday or Friday. Of Course, this weekend was a big balloon fest, one of the state fairs and a few other things that might have been fun to test the repair. And it is COOL here for once! It's almost 11 and still not 80 degrees yet. wow!

New remember everyone we must not all fall out over the result of the final Finn Class Race at the Olympics tomorrow. For Ben Ainslie (British) to win he has to ensure that Zach Railey (American) finished no more than 4 places above him. He will do that by getting in his way and preventing him getting into turns or even picking up any wind. THIS IS NOT PERSONAL ! It's the way the game is played :-)
P.S I don't fancy the chances of any up and coming 100 meters runners for the next few years.
