Hi all,
I'm new to digital photography. After 2 months of research, finally, I bought Canon Powershot S30.
I have uploaded some images here. Please provide your input on the pictures. All the pictures are original I mean, I did not re-touch them with any photo editing software.

I have purchased lens adapter for my S30 recently along with couple of close-up lens. I will upload some close up shots very soon.
Any suggestions in the pics are greatly appreciated.

You did very well -- easy with digital eh?
I was not sure what the scene was (even though I saw later that it was the Grand Canyon!) , by then I had tried this PS "alteration". I hope that you do not object to my imposition, it seemed like a "photographic" response and I was not trying to beat you to photo shop.

See http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=5309 for PS details.

The last one may not be as good as the previous ones.. need improvement there...
Actually I wanted to show raw images with out -re-touching them.. I have PS.. I'll try and learn some cool tricks on how to edit photos..

Looking good. Yes -- primarily becuse I am a "sort-of" nature photographer, I preferred the Grand Canyon shots. But these Canon cameras are great for close-ups and you wil see many fine shots of insects , etc on this site (and elsewhere).
I reduced the size of my PS alteration above. The original post somehow replaced inches with centimeters, and 75 dpi with 300.
My mission with photoshop is not to fabricate images, it is to let PS generate new color direcions which help me to better understand how my favourite Canadian landscape painters draw upon their inner eye.
Good Work,

Sunset is gorgeous. Is it possible to bring out the shapes in the foreground a bit, maybe _slightly_ lighten the shadows? I use "Enhance/Fill Flash" in Photoshop Elements a lot for this kind of thing.
Crater Lake is also very nice. In the panoramic shot, though, the landscape looks tilted. Is this a composite panorama? If so, maybe your panorama stitching software could fix it?
Paris casino: generally very nice - but I don't like tilting verticals (unless they're there for a definite reason), could fix it using perspective correction tools in most photo editors.
Thanks for these pictures!

Susheel,
Nice pics for starters. Guess by now you must have learned that to turn these into better or even great pics you need to work on them. All pictures need processing. It's a long, steep learning curve but once you're there it's a great view!
Good luck!

Search the internet and read, read, read until you are at the point where you think film wasn't that bad (lol). Take it from there and progress will come!
