Got my 70-200 2.8 is L and 1.4 tele yesterday and took them out for a spin. What do I need to work on? I shot around 500 / 640 shutter all day and noticed I didn't freeze the ball and the bat alot. I'll bump up the iso today. Any advice is or prop is always welcome.

You need to be up around 1/1600 to 1/2000th MINIMUM , at this age level to get good stop action shots. try shoooting in Manual, or in AV. Shoot fairly wide open apertures, and adjust ISO to keep your shutter speeds up to the levels mentioned above.
