This is him right after a feeding as you can tell he still has the formula all over..lol but he's a cutie. I think so anyway. ha
and haven't named him just as yet..making sure he pulls through ok first.
names any one? Name the Bird.. give me some suggestion's.
I think he will make it. he's eating and playing good and just all up in my hair lol.
He's a mess so so sweet.

that's a beautiful shot of him Gail
do you have to feed him or does his mother http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif
wondered do they fend for themselves very quickly ?
I don't know how or what parrots need after being born
http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif or anytime
you mention formula so I think you must be feeding him
he looks hardy enough and I imagine he will surrive
no worries
but you must have had others die as you sound worried about his lasting out
he looks very well in your lovely clear photo
very nice colours

I have seen these birds in the wild. They have 2 other names here in Aus. If you come from Western Australia you would know them as a Wearo, in the eastern states they are known as a Quarrion.

Yes Marie I'm hand-feeding him now. and he is started to eat a little seed on his own. So it shouldn't be much longer that he will be off the bottle ha.
But I don't mind feeding him it gives me something to do I love doing things like this. And yes I did have another baby that died on me few days ago.
I was very heart broking I had done gotten attach to the little baby. I think maybe it got chilled and that's what happen. It was only 10 day old so really that was to young. Ok BTW like the name I'm still thinking on a name that's cute though.

Very nice Gail. How about "Spike" for a name. Goes with the punk scheme, but it's a more direct reference to his "do".
