This is the "Scarborough Flyer" and not the "Scarborough Spa Express" (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=552404), and it only runs on certain Fridays from Crewe to Scarborough.

Last week's loco was 6201 "Princess Elizabeth (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LMS_Princess_Royal_Class), and this is "Lizzie" showing off in Horbury cutting near Wakefield on the outward journey and it's the first time I've managed to get a half decent shot of her.

This weeks loco was A4 Class 60009 "Union of South Africa" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LNER_Class_A4_4488_Union_of_South_Africa), seen here at Barton le Willows on the return leg.

Shame about the mismatch of coaches.

Nice shots Stuart. I don't know the difference in the two engine styles but I like the first one batter.

I like the first one. Good lighting and nicely framed within the cutting.

Nice, Stuart. The first is my favorite, engine and photo. Bright and sharp. They only thing really lacking in the second shot is a little cooperation from the sky.
Thanks for sharing.
