Geno, I think these are your best to date.
Although #4 is creepy.lol..
And you have managed to capture another Man Purse:)

Nice series! You seem to have reverted back to street though; where are the shadows and stairs? :D j/k, these are good. There is a lot of life down there and you picked out some good ones. I like the manbag a lot and with #8 you lucked out with the motion blur so it matched his face.. great look there.

You should add a warning about the PG-13 banana warmer, though.

Thanks, Gail! That couple in #4 were strange. I stalked the guy with the purse for a few minutes waiting for him to turn around.

OK, now that I've cleaned the coffee off my screen...

Thanks for the compliment. There were far too many characters out that night to not shoot some street. You must remember, the course is called "The Art of Seeing" - it's not "The Art of Ignoring".

Here are some of my "artsy" shots from that night.

13.) One inspired by a shot you posted. Not sure about the selective colour though. I guess it destroys the "no sunset shot" theme too.

Pardon my asking, but where is English Bay?

Pardon my asking, but where is English Bay?

English Bay is in Beautiful, downtown Vancouver, British Columbia. You should come and see it in person some time.

I have been to beem to Vancouver a couple of times on holiday and loved it. But I've never been to English Bay (obviously).

If you've been here you must have seen English Bay. Stanley Park sits right in the middle of it. It's the body of water on the west side of the city.

So, any comments on the photos? :)

We've been to Stanley Park and, therefore, must have seen English Bay - I just didn't know what it was called.

I think the pictures are great and atmospheric. I must say I'm intrigued by the lady in No 6, who appears to be wearing a nightdress and very little else!:)

She did have a bathing suit underneath. I wish the guy in the speedo had something over top as well....

#4 is just wrong. It looks like he is try to tell the other guy that "it gets this big".

Anytime the sun is out at the Vancouver beaches, it is an event.

Where are you headed tmw, Geno?

I stood for a while waiting for their conversation to animate a bit. I'm starting to be more patient for a shot that includes some element of interest other than just a quick snap of the situation/wierdo in front of me. I've been lucky enough to get hold of a cloaking device from an old Klingon Bird of Prey so nobody even notices me standing there with my camera at the ready.

I don't think there's a reason for him to say how big it gets, it's pretty clear what the exact size is already...

Thanks!

As The Hoff mentioned, there's no need for an event here. Vancouver is like a breakfast cereal: Once you get past the fruits and nuts, all you have left are the flakes. BTW, there's nothing wrong with any of those three, they provide an equal opportunity to press the shutter release!

Classroom review then down to the beach. I think Kits.
