Can any one recommend a great website for purchasing domains. I have been searching but I thought I would get some feedback.
Thank you!

I've used www.1and1.co.uk (or www.1and1.com if you're in the US) for all of my domains. Very good.

I don't know if I would say they are the best but GoDaddy does a good job and the prices are good.

I used Blue Host and I love the service and I love the price. 6.95 a month. I looked at GODaddy but it seemed like you had to pay a whole lot more a month to get the same services that I got with Bluehost.

The OP was asking about domain registrars, not web hosts.

Big vote for namecheap.com. Been using them for years, have 6+ domains with them, never a problem.

blue-host registers your domain as well.
I can not stand godaddy.com I purchased a Japanese domain (www.cujo.jp) and attempted to go through godaddy and they wanted $99 a year. So instead I just went through a Japanese registrar. For my .com domains I use bluehost for my hosting services and go through them for my domain registration. It is some $10 a year or 2 years (i dont recall) for a .com domain. Which is not bad at all. And I have never had any issues.

Ahh, gotcha. They said they loved the price at 6.95/month so I thought they were talking about web hosting since I paid about that for a year for my domain registration.

I'll second (or whatever number we are up to on this) 1and1.co.uk - excellent service, I have all my domains (I think 8 at the last count) with them.

Godaddy is usually very good and if you look around enough they always have some sort of coupon/code out there. CRANK at the moment, which is from www.crackygeeks.com (http://www.crackygeeks.com) takes 10% off of your order.
