I like #3 best. If you could turn the wheel the other way a bit, that would be good. And maybe wait for better light on it?

Numero 3 for me as well - images look a bit desaturated here but I'm on a public use laptop, and an old one at that, so it's probably that.

Looks far better in terms of colour and saturation on my laptop! Making me want to practice more with my flashes.

Number four does it for me, nice. It's got to tough using your flash with all that chrome.
Looking at the hot spots were you using just the bare flash head?
(I hope you were using a flash, I'm still learning to read photos and I hope I haven't just made an arse of myself.) :)
