Here is Samantha again, this time doing some fitness shots. I love these two pics, they show her petite feminine figure as well as her hard fit body. I love seeing that!!

Again, it may not be what you want, but a smile would be nice. She has an unreal body. I can only assume that she loves to work out. Maybe some pictures showing her having fun in the Gym?

Photo one is not very flattering, they way she's standing makes it look like she has a hole in her torso, again with both a smile would look nice.

Actually, the hole is called obliques and she has some of the best there is. Actually, she literally has some of the best abs in the world. Again, I agree, smiles would be good.

My only beef is the lighting seems too dull.

Body builders are ugly, women body builders doubly so, IMHO.

It looks like she doesn't want to be there. Other than that, good photos :)

Tim, that is uncalled for. You should be a little more tactful. Also consider this may be nat's wife that you are insulting here. Everyone has an opinion, but please express your opinion in a polite manner. (PS, I think female bb's and fitness competitors are awesome).
Nat, I wish I was so lucky to have such a model around me full time. Keep practicing as you are getting better. I actually like photo #1. If you had the space, I think it would be cool to take pictures of her while she is doing her routine.
Does she stay in that kind of shape year round?

Some of the most beautiful women I've ever seen have been body builders: Rachel McLish and Cory Everson, just to name two others besides the above. And by the way, body builders are among the healthiest people you are likely to meet.

I'm with Drisley on this one. I felt bad because I started this by suggesting a smile. Criticism is one thing, Insults are another.

Thanks Drisley for sticking up for her and the nice compliments on my photos. I do feel that I am getting better. Yes, she is my WIFE!!!!! I tell her everyday that she is the sexiest most beautiful woman I have ever known. Pretty much she looks like that or better year around. What you see is 11-11.5% bodyfat, she will be at 7% when contest time shows up. Thanks as always Drisley, I know you like the sport as much as I do.

Thanks Mills, I have no problem with your suggestions at all. When I went back and looked again, I had to agree, some pics would be nice with smiles.

Well said!! I totally agree, those two are some of my favorite female bodybuilders. The cool thing about Samantha is she competes in the figure class not the bodybuilding class. Pretty much the figure girls look like how the female bodybuilders used to look when the sport first started to gain in popularity in the early 80's. That is always the look I just preferred above all others. Also, just so I can toot her horn a little more, she is by far the best and healthiest athlete I have run across. Not only is she muscular and amazingly strong for her size but she is an amazing cyclist. She can easily drop 100 miles on the bike any given day. Routinely her cardiovascular system tests at the elite athlete level. This is a woman who is almost 42 and can run her max hear rate at over 200 and have it recover in seconds. She is simply amazing and gifted.
There I am off my "I love my wife soapbox"..........LOL.

She's 42?
That's impressive. I thought she was at least 10yrs younger than that.
Nat, I get to shoot a fitness/bb show in March, and I'm pretty excited. There is always so much energy at those shows.
I was at one show where a "professional female bodybuilder" made a guest appearance. She was one of the roided "freaks" that give the sport a bad name and is probably why people have opinions like Tim.
She honestly looked like a man in drag as the steroids had already changed her facial features. Plus, she was about 5'10", 200lbs ripped!
But, the vast majority of women can work out as hard as they can, lifting heavy, heavy weights, and they will never look anything but femine (as long as they dont eat and eat and get ridiculously fat). The same can actually be said of most men.
Nat you are a lucky guy to be married to a fitness model for many reasons.
Keep up the great work, and please keep posting.

Very cool Drisley, what show is it? Are you going to have a press pass? or just shoot from the audience? I agree with you about the female roid freaks, they really made it impossible to sell the sport to a mainstream audience. Anyway, take lots of pics at the show, I will look forward to seeing some pics of it in March.

It's a local amateur show very much like this one (http://www.fotop.net/sharpnsmart/provincials2004)that I shot last year.
I dont have a press pass per se, but the head of the local bb organization (and of the event) gives me free tickets near the front to take pictures. He also said I could go in the front row with the "official" photogs, but I find the angle too steep.
I think I might actually sit farther back this year so I can use my new 135F2L for the first time at one of these.
