I notice the images taken on my 10D do not look pin-point sharp. When printed on my canon i950 (via computer) the images looks out of focus. I have tried switching between manual and auto AF points. Extra care is always taken to ensure the focusing lights are illuminated over the main subject areas.
I have tried setting the sharpness options which has not made a difference.
What am I doing wrong?

Going by the phrase 'focusing lights' it sounds like you are using more than one focus point?
Anyway, before we get into the why, how about posting a sample with the Exif details (info on the shot settings) and which lens you were using. Make the sample no bigger than 800x600 and if you can, include a 100% crop. Without something to look at and detail on what you are doing any replies you get would simply be shots in the dark.

Later on, you can decide whether the fuzziness problem is between the camera and the computer, or between the computer and the printer. Sometimes the problem is right smack in the middle, at the time of editing. For some, the term Unsharp Mask is a mystery face cover.
