...its shooting time!

For the last five years I have done photography at a local (Hamilton) music festival, this year makes 5, this year I am leading the team, and this year I have a DSLR!

Previously I have shot on a compact digicam and on a film EOS, I am looking forward to the freedom I will have this year!

I am all set to go:
All batteries full charge - check
CF cards clear and reformatted - check
X'S Drive charged, clear and defragged - check
Lenses clean - check
Insurance on gear up to date - check :cool:
Got all my battery chargers - check
Laptop ready to go - check
Multipower board (forgot this last year, couldn't charge everything at the same time!) - check
Earplugs - check
Got my black gear (so I am not as visible on the stages) and backstage pass already to go!

Will post some pics when I get back next Tuesday!

Oh, and White balance, AF settings, drive mode, and all that.

Yep that, exposure compensation and IS (for those lenses I have that support it) are in in my 'Pre-Flight' check for every session.

.......don't forget your shoes and toothbrush!!!


...and a some sunscreen and a good hat during the day, almost forgot about those!

Have an awosme festivle!

Wish I could go with, but Im off to a wedding on sat, to play back up photographer incase the pro reflects how organised the wedding is.

Im loking forward to some nice photos.

It is not uncommon these days for the 'backup' friend photographer to out do the pro!

On my way now, leaving a bit later than I'd hoped!
