In PSCS when I'm doing something like converting a batch of final-edit TIFF's into jpg's for CD-proofing or web-proofing, some of the files always end up giving me a "this file must be saved as a copy with this selection" or something like that and then the Action is stopped. I know it must be something really simple that I'm missing here, but why do some of the files do this? It seems to mostly happen with B&W's that were converted using the Lab Color Method.
thanks,
daniel

This is usually because you have layers in the image. Chnage the action to add "Flatten Image" before the save.

Thats what I thought too, but there aren't any layers...I tried adding a flatten image to the Action, but Flatten isn't even available because there aren't any layers... I don't understand. Its gotta be something easy that I'm just overlooking, which is why its so frustrating.
thanks,
daniel

Are they all 8 bit? You can't save 16 bit files as jpg.

Did you delete all extra alpha channels in the channels palette?
Is the paths palette empty?
Did you chant "Abra Cadabra" before starting the action?
