Why is the view you get in the viewfinder less than 100%??
Any know of have a guess??

The manual says coverage of the 300D is around 95% IIRC. It's better than way than showing you more than what you'll get, you can always crop what you don't want.

I wonder how hard is it to create a 99% view is it that hard? (in a consumer SLR?)
I understand you need tolerances but a larger veiw finder with a bigger more accurate view would be nice.

That's a cool link, but I kind of new bunch of that.
But come on, which is harder making the 98% viewfinder or the Digic chip and 6.3 megapixel sensor? :confused:
The Drebel view finder is a huge let down IMO from the Eos 3 or even dare I say my cheap Elan 7N? To bad Pentaprism costs can't drop like CF memory prices. :D Yeah for penta mirrors...I mean boo!
