I just got a 20 D and have started to use the software that lets me connect my camera to my laptop while shooting. However, I havent been able to figure out how to save the images to my CF Card besides saving it to my computer? The software with my 10D asked me if Id like to save it to both, but does the 20 D do the same thing??? Thanks for any help you can give.

Hey Chase, I don't have an answer for you...sorry. But to go along with your question, I noticed with my 20D that it came with the software CD with Ver.9.1 which I know needs to be installed(drivers, and utilities. It also came with Digital Photo Professional Ver 1.5 Is that necessary to install? I also have PS Elements 3.0 so I'm not really sure if its necessary to install the DPP Ver1.5 or not? I couldn't find a complete description in any of the manuals as to what the DPP Ver1.5 is.

I installed the software that came with my 20D, tried it out a few times and soon went back to Breezebrowser for my browsing and raw conversions. I still use PS Elements (version 1) with the Hidden Power of Photoshop Elements add on for most of my image editing. I almost always use Qimage for printing and if there are no major problems with images I skip the Elements and go directly to Qimage for editing.
I never connect my camera to my computer. I have as USB 2 cardreader and always download using that. I also save a copy on my FlashTrax before putting the card back in the camera to be reformatted. Evenually I save batches of photos on a DVD.
I might as well remove the Canon software from my computer because I never use.

Ok so basically, I should just install the Solution disk Ver. 9.1that has the EVU Utility, EOS capture, photostitch, TWAIN driver, and WIA Driver. And there's no point in installing the Digital Photo Professional Ver1.5 since I am using PS Elements 3.0 which allows me to download the RAW images, view and post process them. Am I correct in saying that? Thanks.

According to the software manual that came with mine (p. W-62, M-62), there's a check-box on the File | Save destination setting dialog box that allows saving to the camera as well as to your computer. This assumes EOS Viewer Utilities / EOS Capture.

Thanks Jon!!! I thought I looked everywhere in that software for the save option, but I musta missed it! I'll check it out when I get to my laptop this evening!
