Feeble attempt at X-games 08 Moto-X

Hello All, as the title states, this is my feeble attempt at moto-x. I have to say that this was my second attempt. One of the things that I still have an issue with is focusing on fast moving objects. I some how always manage to get the background in focus instead of the subject. I'm using a 70-300mm canon lens, unfortunately not an L series. Its just the stock lens that comes in the multi-lens package.

Any pointers would be highly appreciated.
