... as seen on other forums : besides of "next thread" and "previous thread", two very useful (IMHO) additional buttons: "top of page" and "back to the forum (section)".
This would be a nice tweak to the vBulletin script, really clicks- and time saving :)

I would agree. I also wouldn't mind "Mark this forum read" on every page.
As well as a "Submit reply and return to forum" button. I'd use that a lot.
But I can live with the current stuff I guess.

I'm sure everyone has their own preference, but I've found that I like Linear - Newest First in the thread display options. I've gotten accustomed to reading the threads from the bottom up. The advantage is that when you get to the top of the page, you have the New Posts button which takes me back to a list of the most recently modified threads. I have the home page on my broweser set to take me to the main index page for those times when I want to see what's happening in a specific forum. I find I do a lot less scrolling this way.
