Hey.
My friend wants me to take a couple of photos of his wife before she gives birth, problem is that i have to do it with her stomach covered (religous reasons)
Anyone have any good ideas how to shoot him and his wife, conveying the fact that she is pregnant, but without showing any skin?
Thanks

The way the clothing fits will help to convey pregnancy, also the position you place the mother in can help.
Have the father positioned where his attention is directed at the mother's belly.
Get ideas from the couple to figure out what they are comfortable with.

Heres a maternity photography question....
what happens if she goes into labour while your photographing her? If she didnt come with anyone, would you drive her to the hospital, call an ambulance, or let her drive herself? :)
Someone contacted me about doing a shoot and shes due in 4 days. :)

I'm normally not a fan of maternity pictures, BECAUSE of the skin (stretched looking/vein showing) I think they will be nice. :)
Perhaps photograph them in the baby's room with toys and things for props.

Original post was a year and a half ago. :) Nice thing about digital photography is you can airbrush the stretch marks and veins so it looks better, I was about to say natural but thats not the right word for airbrushing I think, hehe.
