Great view Jim and a terrific shot, watch out they'll hire you to do the traffic report from up there.   I'll say one thing you didn't take that during rush hour.

Thanks guys and doll. :D It doesn't show well on the screen, but what interests me in this shot is the edge of the cloud formation off to the right. There is a thick but well defined edge that gives the feel of a huge opening in the sky. I printed it out in B&W on 13x19 matte paper and it looks totally different from the screen image. Otherwise it's a pretty banal skyline shot, I think. Canonical, even. The building in the foreground is Aetna Insurance Co. headquarters.

Hmm, Now that you mention it, that IS a pretty thick wall of clouds.
Seems that photos on the monitor never look as good as they do in print.

Fortunately (as you know), just about any othe picture of Connecticut looks MUCH better than this. :D (My son lives in Bristol, BTW). How do you like Japan?

japan is great, but the island I'm on has been getting a little small after being here almost 3 years. Okinawa is about 50 miles tall and 5-10 miles wide but there are plenty of nice shots to be taken here (along with plenty of other things to do). I mainly got into photography to get out of the street racing scene. after going thru 3 skylines my wife started to get pissed :-)
