if the lens is carefully placed the distortion is minimal. also in some cases the images are cropped. it is not very often u have time for perfect framing... things are moving way to fast plus it was freezing. :p

careful placement of the model even with this full frame shot from a 10D the distortion is minimal... basically keep straight lines away from the edges.

1Ds is a 1.3 crop camera, no? The 10/20/300D are all 1.6 crop. That's the reason for the difference in distortion. I'm seriously considering picking up one of these, however... I think I might invest in a macro instead... the difference between this one and the kit lens doesn't seem too large...
