That is one crazy camera! My biggest problem is that I never used an SLR camera in my life bfore the 10D a couple of years ago. So my eyes are used to that field of view, and not the FF view. This just sucks, because everyday I take at least 15 pictures average, and I consider them all tests.
Anyway, here's a couple of shots with the 17-40mm L. Nothing fancy, just FOV tests!

I think you're implying there may be something wrong with you, but trust me, we've all been there, I've been there. First when I got the camera, then when I got another lens, and another lens, and another lens and the flash and just many times at random occasions. Now I think I'm through with testing, well, untill I'll get a new lense, that is... :D

I know exactly what you mean. But in my case, it's as if I went out to the camera store, bought a 1Ds2 and five lenses at the same time -and knew nothing at all about the characteristics of what I bought!

Congratulations - you did things the right way going from the 15 x 22.5 mm format to 24 x 36. You're spared all that "cra^hop factor" nonsense!

NIce cam hu?
How do you like that view finder. I am always having to 'look around' inside it to take the whole frame into consideration (when I'm testing that is:)).

I like the viewfinder..It's brighter than my previous cams, but I really haven't tested it's accuracy. I look around inside it too.

Remember, if you don't like it, you can always change screens . . .

Now that's true wide angle of 17mm rather than 27mm. :D
Congrats on the new purchase... A much better option, than buying that new house.

It's great to see your enthusiasm!
I've had mine for a little over a month, and have shot people, and 1 coin (so far)!
It's such a great feeling camera, don't you agree?
One thing about the full frame is that I know how to frame these shots and am not so disappointed when cropping portraits! The Olym*** I have was just "not right" to me, though it was my first digital ever (besides my phone!) ;) It seemed too square, but not like my 6x6 medium format!
I really am happy for you, and keep up the "testing." If you find weirdness, let us know!

I used to be a BMWCCA member when I had my M Coupe (hence my username)..and I stayed a member for a year, then never took the emblem off the Mitsu.
