This is a Dall sheep ewe I encountered while on a hike near Anchorage. I was able to get within a few feet. But it's not unusual to get this close. These animals can be pretty tame.

2nd one, is just soo out there.
Looks like it's on the edge as well... Just don't tell us it's gently sloping. ;)

Wazza, well ok... I won't tell you it was gently sloping (but then again, it's not as steep as the picture makes it seem).
This location is about a 3-hour hike from the trailhead. Town is off to the right. In the limited daylight of winter it's hard to start and finish this hike while the sun is up.
