John is known as "Mr. Ford" around Detroit. He currently owns 17, as well as a lot of parts which will also become Fords in time.
His '61 Ford Galaxy Sunliner has a 390cid, 375bhp motor. The tri-power option raises it to 401bhp. Transmission is 4-speed pushing a 3.50 rear end.
Package options include solid lifters, dual point distributer, & a hi-performance exhaust. It's been lowered 3", has American Mags, & a leather interior.
John has had this one for 3 years.

From what I remember of our '60 Merc, the darn things were close enough to the ground as IS.

Gorgeous shots of a gorgeous car. I REALLY like the wheels.

I REALLY like the wheels. For me, American Mags are timeless. I prefer the black centers & metal rims, though, or just unpainted. think he cruised through Mustang Alley on Saturday (late)... It looks even better "in person", doesn't it!

love the '62 dealer plate! The Stark Hickey frame is a classic, too! Most people would throw them away & I've heard moans from people who can't find them now. There's also a thriving business in old license plates. My father has plates from the '50s nailed to the beams of our garage.
