never managed a butterfly in flight, certainly not as sharp as that!

But I'm very curious how you managed to shoot at 1/2500sec. !!!
Was it that sunny and harsh light? With those speeds I'll get a very dark image, even at ISO 400 or so. Did you use flash as well?

Nice shot, what shutterspeed was that? Seems like every time I try to stop a butterfly in flight, I still get some blur, that is crystal clear.

Dont think it matters if its considered macro thats a really brilliant shot
