The Ocean Rodeo crew not only knows how to kite like there is no tomorrow but also have a good time afterward (to put it mildly)
The winds were a little slow coming up the first few days but once they did it was nice an smooth air with good boosting.
I realized when i was out learning to ride the hydrofoil board before the big was not the best idea but despite being on the
beach rigging a new kite after getting rescued when the starting gun for the race went off I managed to get 15th place out of 58.
I already am planning for next year and can't wait :)

Here are the photos i shot during the trip.
ENJOY!

Cool shots.

You've got a speck on your sensor at the top of the frame. This is easily cloned out.

Ok. I critique pretty harshly so dont take it personally.

Fix that speck. Its easy to do and its pretty distracting.
Fix your horizons. A lot of them are tilted.
Shoot from angles that put light on your subjects face. Its apparent that it was possible to do becasue I see the right angle in picture 4 (but theyre facing the wrong way now haha). 5 and 7 would just do so much more for me if your subject was illuminated. If shot from the proper angle, youd still have those water droplets catching light, but you wouldnt have a dark boarder. For that particular shot, Id say shoot even more into the light for a harsher silhouette or back off some so that the boarded is illuminated.

Pretty place. Thats for sure.

Adam,

THanks.. i appreciate it. I have erased the dot i some of my originals now. The Horizions i fix on quite a few before i posted them but due to time i did not do so on all of them and i know its not perfect.
The angle of shooting was really difficult as the event was held on a west facing beach which made shooting in the late afternoon very hard. I was trying to get a boat or jetski to take photos from but was not able to and plan to definately next time. I know it was not ideal but it was the best angle i could get given the situation. In all honesty i don't really like how these pics came out but though people would enjoy them anyhow. I appreciate your harsh comments and trust me i am even harsher on my own work. LOL
Thanks.
