Hey everyone, first time viewer / poster.
Bought my Digital Rebel back in October (yeah I'm a newbie!), and recently I've been looking for tips on Astrophotography so I google'd it and came up with this site, and I'm very excited!
But that's besides the point, on to the photos and critiques! I would add captions displaying what settings I used, but some of these were from months ago, when I was too scared to use Manual mode haha.
and UGH Photobucket shrinks all these WAYYY down, so if you'd like to see larger versions I can share them :) I might also just attach a few directly...You can also find all these on my Deviant Art gallery, full resolution, critiques can go on there as well.
Fountain in my backyard. 18-55mm (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v476/WhileInSilence/FrozenInTime.jpg)
My dog, Kody. 75-300mm. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v476/WhileInSilence/Kody.jpg)
Definitely don't like the focus on the middle / top, you can really notice it in the normal size..18-55mm, +7 Filter (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v476/WhileInSilence/LeafCloseUp.jpg)
Flower petal on left was a little closer to the lens than the middle, so you can see some blur. 18-55mm, +7 filter (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v476/WhileInSilence/Flower1.jpg)
Yes, he was in the zoo too. 75-300mm (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v476/WhileInSilence/Contemplation1.jpg)
Random information I feel like sharing:
I'm starting Brooks Institute of Photography around November, the Ventura campus in So Cal, hoping to move on to something like National Geographic (like all 4902394023 photographers) I'm interested in mainly nature stuff: Plants / Wildlife / Insects / Undersea, and also, thought it sounds bad to say it, natural phenomenons, such as volcanos / tornados / floods / lightning. I just recently found out that my 300d / Rebel wouldn't cut it there, so I'm going to have to upgrade. Considering the 10d or 20d naturally, shrug.
Feels good to be here, if you actually read all of this, I salute you! haha.
