Two shots taken at St. Bees Head, both are long exposures and so the waves give the misty effect. The B&W one was over exposed unfortunately but colorised a little gives a great effect.

That first shot is just incredible. Like the effect.

I really have enjoyed these two pictures... first off, I like the effect that you've created with the longer exposure time and waves... i've just started playing with water effects recently, and this is something i'd never considered... lovely pictures.
The other reason i like them, is that I spent many many many hours down on St Bees beach as a kid before the public were enlightened to the level of radioactivity in the North Sea, this had the effect of killing the local tourism for St Bees as a beach, i'm glad that the Wainwrights coast to coast walk keeps it alive... I was back there last summer, walked up the "head" and noticed that the sea pool is still just recognisable as you walk up the cliff edge.
Nice shots Dave :D

Thanks for the comments - small world isn't it? I live fairly close to St.Bees and I must get more shots like these under my belt, it is just getting the time
