G'Day.Hope I posted in the right section, well it is industrial ?
A couple of photos from a coal mine. The first shows the operators gathering for their lunch break, and the second shows them back to work again :-)

Monster machines!
Yep. But there are more monstrous ones around here - these are 180 tonnes capacity trucks. The biggest ones around here (and in the world) have 400 tonnes capacity, but I haven't got any pics of them unfortunately :-(.

and you will see those machines he has on his site

Marie - will have to find orange's site :-). There probably is a "lady engineer" down there, there are quite a few about. That top machine is really that colour (white with a dusting of well....dust :-).)
There was a little viewing platform on the side of the pit.Photo was taken with 300mm lens.
Thanks Bruce.
Great Idea for a photo contest - Photos taken during lunch..good idea. Just need time to eat in between taking photos :-)
Thanks Penguin_101_1. They are indeed 4 wheel drive with separate electric motors for each wheel - works on the same principle as diesel-electric locomotives.

I just love those desaturated look photos. I know they're not, but the dust makes it look very dull, and nice, with vibrant yellow jumping out. Nice. :)

Thanks Wazza
Theres plenty of dust. Probably not the best location to have the camera really :-)
One of the reasons for the paint colour would be to do just what you say. To make them jump out -so they can be easily seen

Thanks mr.photoguy - Had to change lenses a few times, but was very careful when doing so. It is probably one environment where the 28-300L would come in handy :-)
Thanks flyfisher - I think the people there give the photo impact too.
