Have a look at a couple of these. I'm doing the photgraphy for the Caterham Graduates this year. All from my website at http://mivec.co.uk (http://mivec.co.uk/)
Loads of stuff, I always try to mix track action with other stuff, it seems to work quite well.

A nice mixture of pics - yep... possibly too many to take in at once.

Maybe I'm missing something here, not being an experienced motorsport snapper, but there seem to be a lot of pictures of the BACKS of cars... hmmm....

Have plenty of fronts & sides too, backs can be as good ;)

PS Like your site GMEN, I'm not into football but they are *excellent* shots.

You can't beat a good back..side... allegedly!

Having had a bit longer to take them all in, I really like the shot in the downpour - ideal working conditions eh??? I take it you've got some sort of rain cover!

Thanks for the comments on my site - there's a bit of motorsport on there - in fact there are some backs of bikes amongst the grasstrack speedway pics...!

I do quite a bit of work for some of the Graduate drivers and I see you were at Knockhill and Croft the same time as me, judging by the pics. I am working with some of them again this season so we may bump into each other at some point.

Nice shots :) Apart from the BRDC flag of course (nothing to do with the picture, just that they are hopelessly off my Christmas Card list).

It's good to see more motorsport snappers appearing. Soon we will have taken over this forum  and our march towards world domination will be unstoppable....

:o sorry, got a bit carried away there... :o

The BRDC are going to be very short of Xmas cards by the looks of it, they are off my list as well. That reminds me Cadwell, I must talk to you about the Motorsport Safety Fund who are very much on my Xmas list.

Cadwell, I have now filled in and returned this seasons forms to the appropriate places. MSV are insisting on published pictures with at least one from an MSV circuit. Not a problem for me as you know, but hopefully it may cut down on the part-time cowboys. Croft are toughening up as well. They all want applications in early this year, so just as well I was ready.

Motorsport and Canon cameras are meant to be together, you know that. I mean, what use is a MK-II if it isn't taking pictures of things on 2 or 4 wheels doing 150mph?

Nice shots Dave, the Caterhams are always good for some close action;)
I do like the first one, is that Knockhill?

Cheers

Yeh Ian H it's Knockhill at the top. My mate Mike Solan (www.solansunbeds.co.uk) in his flying car :)
I had a few sessions in it at Elvington and there's a big trackday with them all at Donington on 5th March where I'm putting the camera down and hiring a Superlight for the day.

Dave, here is one of Mike with all 4 wheels on the ground, but being chased hard. I was next to the TV cameraman (there to video the Legends) at Glenvarigill and this was one of the many times we had rain.

Impecable timing on the first photo... but I guess thats why you're a motorsport photographer. :D

I will be photographing some Ice races in February... I only hope they turn out as good.

I'm out of 'em at the moment. Will visit the chemist tomorrow though ;)

The nice thing about Caterhams is that they're so dynamic to photograph. You can really get in there with the driver

It's a matter of getting the right settings on the camera, using the right technique and then lots and lots of practice... ;)

Hello Photogs,
Does anyone have any good advice or tips for my first experience at serious photography at a road racing track?
Thanks,
Randy
