Timelapse

Now i have the 1000 jpegs to string into a timelapse i need some help, it needs to maintain high quality so AVI files are out, i need a reckomendation of a good program, prefer free but i will hapily pay if i need to that will give ma a high quality output and fully automate the process.

Well, there's a free program called VirtualDub that will render the images into a video. There are plenty other programs too like Sony Vegas, Adobe Premiere, but VirtualDub is free and easy to do this with.

Tried VirtualDub but it makes it an AVI file thats 3GB and therefore cannot be opened. Unless you know a player that will open them?

Really? I didn't know there was a limitation on the file size and playing it...What were you using to try and play it? Maybe you need certain codecs etc...try VLC player if you already haven't?

Hmm I'm really not sure then, I don't think I've tried to play a file that big. Sorry.

Make sure you pick a video compressor (I usually use xvid), otherwise you're just dumping out uncompressed video. You'll have the same issue with any other video editing app.
You're file size and quality will depend on the bitrate. You'll have to make the size/quality trade-off regardless of the program you use.
I get great timelapses out of virtualdub. You can also apply various filters (i.e. temporal smoothing) to make things look even better.
