From the monterey historics....

I just wished my side shot came out clearer.

taken with TV mode @ 125 shutter speed with a 350D Rebel/200mm Quanterey lens

You followed the car well, however with that loss in height as well as horizontal movement the shutter speed needed to be a lot higher than 1/125s. Given the available light you could have bumped the shutter speed up to at least 1/400 (up the ISO if needed).

thats unphotoshopped... but yea, it got blurry as it came to my side. I could darken each image a little and sharpen a tad.

It can be very unforgiving going into the dirt there. Good capture. That's one event that I'd love to go to up there.
