Hi....as the subject says new to the forum. I had been a Nikon user since I started photography in 1987 but switched to Canon last Sept when I bought the 20D. My favorite thing to photograph are seascapes and lighthouses along with one of my cats. Here's a pic of Jubilee. Tell me what you think.

Me thinks that Jubilee is a little tired of having that flash pop in his/her face:):):):):):):):):)
Really nice cat image.

Yep, a very nice pic and good flash - it's not overdone. Too bad about the ear getting cropped, though.

Thanks for all the kind replies. Jubilee does look a little distained doesnt she? Yes I also agree on the ears getting cropped out ...my bad. I used a Sigma 50-500mm for that pic which I sold. I am now going to sell my Canon 100-400mm and buy the Sigma again. I thought it was a really great lens and I miss the 50-100 and the 500 on the end.
jmjmmotorsport..... I used to live in Woodbridge until a few months ago. Cool to meet another local also. So by your name are you into cars like my b/f and I are?
Here's another shot I also like of Jubilee

Oh I love your cat, it reminds me of my childhood cat that I miss so much, when we moved we had to give her away, but luckily she is with a good family now.

oh yeah, I'm definitely into cars.. I'm into a lot of the local Subaru clubs/gatherings. I used to do pretty much nothing but motorsport/car photography but I'm straying from that these days. I'm finding myself much more intrigued by fashion/portrait/glamour type stuff. I'm a habitual people watcher so I guess it's only natural I start taking an interest in photographing people. Maybe we can have a local Canon meet someday.. My wife is convinced I'm the biggest nerd for talking on the internet all the time about cameras to total strangers.. :D
