WTT: My 85L for your 85L II + Cash

I have a 85L in excellent condition, US date code. It includes hood, box, bag, & warranty card. The lens take beautiful portraits, but I think the faster focus speed of the mk II would help me with weddings.
Anyone interested?

I didn't think the AF speed on the MKII was that much better? I also have a MKI and have never had the opportunity to compare to a MKII.

EDIT: I guess it is about 80% faster, so that is an improvement that should be noticed.

IMO, the 85mm MKII would still be too slow for weddings.

I've had both.....The difference is negligible. But I say go for it....Wish I still had my mk2 knowing what I know now....I'd trade with you for sure. The mk1 I have now.....is in fact slower, but is also sharper, which suits me fine;)

I know the difference isn't that big between the two, in fact if I just did portraits I would think about switching. But with weddings and the inherent time crunch, every bit helps. When I shot with the mk II, I noticed my keeper rate went up a bit.

On the other hand, everything said here is true, so if you have a mk II...
