While on my daily walk in the wilds . . . I stumbled upon this tiny cabin in the woods. With the leaves down from the trees one can 'see' and venture to places that were hidden most of the year. It is good that there is a nice 'crust' on the snow, lol.
A different shot for me but nonetheless I though it conveyed the feeling of 'finding' a respite in the wilderness. Your thoughts may vary . . . lol.

Wow...nice shoot. Has a spooky feel to it, as if it's one of those "Blair Witch" houses or that house from "Secret Window"... cool

Interesting shot. I don't know about the "respite" aspect, though. :)

This was taken with my 20D and a Sigma BigMa 50-500 lens. I zoomed out as far as I could when my eye caught the sight of the building through a small 'hole' in the pines. So I used manual focus and squeeze in this shot between the snow and frost covered branches of the evergreens surrounding the cabin. As noted, lol, a bit 'Up-Town' for me . . . but heck I could learn . . . or not. LOL.
Thanks so much for the kind words noted above.

Great shot, I think the focus is just right. The pine branches and tree are not in focus, but you can still tell what they are, which adds to the mood of the picture. good eye.

Very nice shot. The blurred branches make the shot, of course. Otherwise, it wouldn't look spooky.

Have a look at the clump of OOF branches on the right. There is definitely a ghostly face in there.
Man that just creeps me out !!

Aint NO stinking ghost in there . . . lol. All of the ranches have line cabins on them somewhere. A place to stay if one gets snowed in on horseback or even four wheeler. Seem they all have a 'head' hanging on the wall and of course a lantern to light your way. A comfortable western place, you guys are worrying me . . . lol.
