really wonderful shots love the colour and light on the darters, I saw a few of them today

Fabulous set of shots. Love your grinning darter shot lol - not seen very many at all yet :-(

Superb snake shot, you can almost feel the texture of it its such a fabulously smooth shot.

Dave nice pics, I like number 6 the best, the clarity of the wings and eye really make it unusual since these bugs are easily scared.

The first picture is also nicely done, very unusual wood it is sitting on and great focus.

What lens are you using by the way?

agree first shot works very well, lovely snake study too.
EXIF reads 150mm f2.8 lens so assume the Sigma 150 macro.

Thanks for the comments everyone,and yes I used my Sigma 150mm macro and a 20mm extension tube.Thanks again for the interest.

All great shots, I like your Grass snake.

I nearly tripped over an Adder they other day after shooting butterflies, unfortunately I had put the camera away so he made off before I could snap him.
