Can somebody PLEASE make all these dank gome clouds go away? It's been like this for months now. Every day with the high level white clouds that make your shots look like a light box. I thought skies were supposed to be blue!!!

Dammit.

Come stay with us in Oregon from October to May. You'll see how long gray skies can really last. :)

They last almost as long as the Washington ones -- October to June.:lol::lol:

PA USA everything is fine. So I hear. I've been working 18 hour days............. Today, there was a giant orange ball in the sky called, I think, the Sun.

Focus on images with non-sky bgs. Cloud cover can be an advantage in many cases. If you expose your images properly and learn PS techniques to get the most out of your cloudy day images, you will be amazed at the results. I often get "great light" comments on my cloudy day photos. Here is a shot from a completely overcast morning:

I'm pretty glad I didn't give up and go home.

Recovery in RAW + a little shadows/highlights is a beautiful thing.

Oh yeah, and where in the world do you go to find owls flying around like that? I don't think I've ever even seen an owl flying before. That's an excellent shot.

oh man, the one thing I kept thinking about my last time in FL. Nothing is ever any tall (other than quite inland, and the NASA-VAB). When the wind blows there, it must really blow. Can't be fun.

Where in Florida? I spent most of my life in Bradenton, and the sky there was usually pretty dull. Now I'm up in Orlando for University, and it's absolutely crazy how much awesomeness goes on in the sky here. Seriously. I see a greater range of amazing cloud/sky combinations in one day here than I would in an entire month back home. Just tonight I was out, and there was the most amazing light cloud cover, looked sort of like water, and it seemed like the moon was just behind it, putting this nice little spot of light on the clouds. Can't WAIT to get out shooting :O

Sorry. I can't feel too bad for you right now. The sky here is always white and about 8 stops too bright. The only time the sky isn't white is when the wind starts blowing and the whole world turns orange.
