Okay, what's going on with my Simpleviewer galleries? I've enabled colour management in Firefox and as a result, it now displays my flash elements with a darker shade of gray than it used to. I want it to match the gray of the middle section of my pages and have the hex references all set to #333333...why oh why is Firefox treating the colours differently?!?

IE displays the colours properly, and switching colour management off in FF removes the problem...Anyone know either why FF is different and preferably what the workaround is??

Any help would be appreciated!

I had the same problem too. Unless you have a colour profile other than sRGB embedded in your images, you should leave the colour management in FF off. Otherwise you would have to redo all parts of your site in PS and assign the same profile to everything.

Thanks.

Strange that it's the background colour of the flash player not being right though - surely a hex ref colour will be displayed consistently whether it's coded in the flash player or the background HTML...

Might need to drop an email to the simpleviewer people for advice.

I havent tried it but have you tried using an rgb value? Dont know if that would make a difference or not. But just thinking of it, maybe it just looks like the simpleviewer background is changing compared to the rest of the page but it might be the page elements changing due to mismatch colour profiles?? Just hazarding a guess.
