The heavens opened during the 2 games I was shooting for the local paper. 2 games running at the same time so I bounced between the 2. High ISO but managed some nice action shots.
Comments as always welcome.

Cheers mate. I've started to add a bit of saturation to my pics. Think it lifts the flatness a tad.

Thanks again :). In fairness i've noticed my shots get better since upgrading from a 400d to 40d (3fps to 6fps). Makes a hell of a difference.

Nice shots! I think you could have kept the ISO down a bit though, 1/8000s and 1/4000s is plenty fast for soccer, or rockets for that matter! ;)
Not that it mattered, the shots are really great. Good timing.

Color is very nice on these. Great job timing the action as well.

Nice comments folks. Appreciate it :)
dessie - it was free entry at windsor wasn't it?
DDCSD - Yeah I know 800 wasn't needed but I have an excuse . It was raining very heavily and the water was running off both my glasses and camera protective equipment. I honestly could hardly see the screen to review my images so I was just 'going with the flow' lol.
900spg - I'm glad a few people have mentioned the colour. Now I know I haven't saturated too much. (+20 in Lightroom).
