Here's a few from two games I shot during a tournament I shot a week before the Olympics featuring silver medallists Australia Vs Brazil.

Excellent shots mate!

I see you're using a 40d. I bought mine last month and love it.

Why are the aussies wearing two different jersies?

The first one was from game one the rest from game two, two days apart.

Very nice shots! The exposure appears to be perfect and you timed the action very well.

Superb work. I love 'em all.

The highlights on the ball suggest that all these were shot with strobes mounted high up or in a very well light court. Also, the ball is smooth suggesting that some noise reduction was used. Can you comment on technique, lens, flash? Thanks!

No flash used and no noise reduction, 70-200 f/2.8L was the lens and as EXIF will show the one in the yellow uniform is a much darker gym ..... ISO 1600 f/2.8 and 1/500 whilst the Green Jersey is my favourite gym (Sydney Entertainment Centre) ISO 1250 f/2.8 and 1/640

Onlyy PP done is slight crops, re-size for web and un-sharp mask.

Thanks for the response. It means that there is still hope for me when it comes to shooting BB. :)

How did you end up with no noise at ISO 1600?!? If I go near 1200 I get all sorts of wacky noise.
