Just curious what other people are doing... I have 2 bags (both Lowepro), a Vertex 200 which holds *everything* and a Slingshot 200 which only holds the body, flash, and a few lenses.

I'm doing a wedding in October and I'm bringing the Vertex as it holds the camera/lenses, but also chargers, cleaners, filters, etc...

When shooting a wedding, do people normally carry their entire collection, or just what's needed? I'm considering bringing both bags and using the Vertex for transport and then the Slingshot to actually carry the gear around...

Any thoughts??

I do weddings and depending on the requirements of the day, I bring anything from 1 to 3 bags and my trunk has the lights, stands, etc. I usually bring my Lowepro Nova 5 and Domke F802, but these days, I take a roller bag too. I have a wedding this Friday and it's one I have to bring everything I need in 2 bags I can carry because I will be walking around. It's really good to have one big bag that carries everything else and one medium bag that you can keep on you or near you while you use 2 camera bodies. I tried doing 1 roller, 1 shoulder bag, but that doesn't work. I hated stopping, finding a place to put the roller bag to open it and then switching the gear I needed. I just love my Domke bag as I can carry my 2 camera bodies with lenses attached and 1 flash without it being too heavy.

I use a big Tamrac bag for storage and transport, but have a Think Tank belt system for on the move.

A Lowepro rolling backpack, plus a couple of tripod bags and a backpack. I usually only take the big backpack with me, though an assistant takes that and whatever else I need.

I wear a vest. I don't wear a photographer's vest, but I wear a combat (ammo) vest. It looks just like photographer's vest with mashed front & back. And they are cheap. So, everything I need is hanging on my body the entire day. This is not recommended if you are not fit.

I have a small bag that holds my remote flash system and backup lens. And I have 2 tripods. I only need them when I shoot formal pictures. So, they stay somewhere in the corner in most part.

Oh, I have three mini cases attached on my belt as well.
