That is just beyond remarkable. I live in Texas and have spent my whole life hiking, camping, and backpacking and have seen only one ---- and that was a fleeting glimpse.
Wow. Talk about being in the right place at the right time.

I spend a lot of time outdoors, including Moab, and have never seen a bobcat. This is such an amazing thing that it came to you, and you were ready. Way to go. A little more contrast would help.

I'm lucky since my wife had just returned from a wedding and had the video camera on the counter, I also have approximately 5 minutes of him on video. I also took upwards of 50 pics of the cat.

That is awesome! we had a domestic cat named cougar that looked very much like a mix between a bobcat and mountain lion :)

Nice pic, just lock up your small pets, he's looking for dinner.
As another suggested, a bit of contrast will help.

That is definitely not your average back yard kitty! Nice shots. You might consider a little photoshop adjustment . . . removing some of the excess cyan and bump up the contrast a tad. But the execution is otherwise very good.

I fished Cairns Pool on the Beaverkill River in April (Hendrickson hatch for those who know what I am talking about.) I caught a bunch of really nice browns. Midway through the fishing, a huge bobcat scaled down the mountain on the far side of the river, about 80 feet away. He was maginficent. I was the only one who saw him for about 10 seconds til I told my buddy to look. My friend had a Canon 30D with a 300mm L lens in the car. As soon as he saw the cat and turned to get the lens, the bobcat bounced up 40 ft of mountain in just a few leaps.
It was amazing - like watching spiderman scale a building! I would have traded every fish caught for one picture of that bobcat. I may never see another ............
Good for you:)
