Alright, I re-read all the concert picture taking info before I headed into SF. A friend of mines band was playing at Slim's _ Flametal. They are beyond very good. I have a Canon 30D, Lens Canon 50mm f1.4, 8GB of storage.,batteries charged. I set the white balance at Tungsten ... to bright so I left it at AWB. Manual setting. So here are some of the best at http://www.pbase.com/mjexp/inbox Let me know what you think .... please.
Peace Michael J.

It would be nice to put the name, venue and date in the title ... you might want to read the FAQ. The images appear a bit dark. It would be helpful if you linked images in rather than attaching them so that the EXIF data is available. And finally you might want to put a link to your pbase galleries in a signature, also done via the UserCP menu item.

Thanks Dwight
I'll put the name, venue and date in the title next time I post. You mentioned the images look a bit dark, should I boost the exposure in Aperture to the ones that look dark? Thanks again for your input. Peace Michael J.

Are you shooting RAW? [Disclaimer: I am not pushing RAW ... I made my first $100K in concert photography with just jpegs! But it does offer a greater range of adjustment.] Anyway, they look a little soft and without EXIF it is hard to tell why so I'm not sure what to recommend, but yes, I'd see how they look a little lightened up. The 30D is an amazing camera and I think you could get a lot more out of it.
