anyone use the CF SanDisk Extreme III's? Just wondering what peoples thoughts were....my office said i get to order new memory so I am out shopping.

Will you accept a report on the Sandisk Extreme III SD cards versus CF.

So far they seem noticeably faster then the Ultra II CF or other extreme SD card I have. no problems observed to date. At least with my 1DsMkII.

They appear on the Rob Galbraith CF database... just select the camera(s) you're using them in for performance data.

Looking at some of the figures, not sure there any huge gains over the Ultra II cards, or the original Extreme cards - but it does vary from camera to camera, as well as by card size.

well the 1Gb extreme III's are going for like $8 more than the normal II's at our vendor

Used one today in my 20d and also used my Lexar 80x... I honestly did not feel any difference... but I know from the above link that my Extreme 3 is faster in actual throughput tests. Noticeable? Nah... but I'd spend the extra money again when I buy my 3rd card. :cool:
