I waited 2 days from the early pre dawn hours till dusk this September, and only got a fleeting glimpse of what 'may have been' a wolf in yellowstone. Glad you got to see the pack in action! I had to go the the Grizzley Discovery center to make up for the loss :)

Not only in action, but everyday for 12 days.

On my last day, which are the photo's of the Slough Pack, they were directly across from Soda Butte and all 23 started to howl just before the sun came up ... like they were saying goodbye.

All they did was succeed in getting me to figure out how to work there. I am now in the process of getting college approval for an internship over the next three summers and have been preliminarily approved to volunteer at the Yellowstone Institue next winter. So much for the BA/BS, it's going to be strictly a BS in animal behavior so I can get to my post-grad work a year sooner.
